Housekeeping Supervisor

The Environmental Service Supervisor is responsible for the environmental services staff and the overall cleanliness of all areas of the hospital. Supervises staff to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions in the hospital. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Monitors infection control and medical waste management practices as they relate to the environment of care. Responsible for staff training. Oversees the environmental services daily responsibilities are met by the staff. Ensures PAR level of linen, supplies and cleaning chemicals are replenished and equipment is properly maintained. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department.
