
Assembler- Day or Night Shift
Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for final assembly of manufactured product. The person in this position will be cross trained to be a backup in other areas as necessary and to support the requirements of the painting and shipping areas if support is needed. Proficiency in operating a forklift, understanding of scheduling systems and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Final assembly of manufactured product while maintaining quality standards.
- Performing electronic transactions necessary to ensure proper tracking of parts and inventory (ERP software, Build schedule etc.)
- Apply powder paint to products on a daily basis.
- Assist in loading and unloading the powered paint line.
- Use of Forklift (both electric and gas powered) and hoists as required.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment and notify supervisors when necessary.
- Ensure all safety policies are followed, wear personal protective equipment.
- Participate in proper ergonomic practices as designed for this position.
- Maintain a clean and organized area/work station.
- Work as a team-member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals.
- Responsible to inform lead(s) of any concerns that arise.
- Be cooperative, positive, and respectful with leads, coworkers and team.
- Assist in other areas as needed, other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; basic math skills required.
- Forklift and hoist experience required.
Skills:
- Ability to operate pneumatic and hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, impacts, and rubber mallets.
- General knowledge of assembling items.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read tape measure to perform accurate measurements per specific print and drawing tolerances.
- Ability to express ideas, share information, and listen actively.
- Able to work both independently and as a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching required throughout the shift.
- Regular exposure to repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.
- Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmet, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
Wage: $25.50/Day Shift - $27.90/Night Shift
