Job Description
ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager of One-Time Giving to lead high-impact direct marketing programs.
In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of direct response campaigns—primarily through direct mail and related channels—that acquire, cultivate, and reactivate donors. You’ll combine data-driven decision-making, creative evaluation, and financial rigor to optimize performance and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Program Leadership
- Lead the strategy, development, and execution of direct marketing programs that drive donor acquisition, retention, and reactivation.
- Align campaigns with organizational priorities to maximize donor value and long-term growth.
- Identify and champion innovative approaches to expand reach, improve performance, and increase revenue across one-time giving programs.
Performance & Financial Management
- Oversee campaign performance through rigorous analysis of key metrics, including revenue, cost, and ROI.
- Manage and optimize significant program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Prepare and present comprehensive monthly financial and performance reports with actionable insights.
Creative & Campaign Optimization
- Guide creative strategy and evaluation to ensure compelling donor messaging and strong response rates.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to execute high-performing, multi-channel campaigns.
- Continuously test, learn, and refine strategies to improve outcomes and exceed KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a strategic partner across departments, driving alignment and integration of fundraising initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with external agencies and vendors to support complex campaign execution.
- Effectively communicate priorities, updates, and results to stakeholders at all levels.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and feedback to support employee growth and performance excellence.
- Manage all aspects of team leadership, including hiring, performance management, and development planning.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or direct response/direct marketing.
- Demonstrated success managing integrated campaigns and delivering measurable revenue growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategy.
- Experience managing budgets and evaluating ROI for marketing programs.
- Prior people leadership experience with a solid understanding of management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data systems and reporting tools.
This position is based at ALSAC’s National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
