Fingerprint Specialist

Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Fingerprint Specialist will process Live Scan and Ink fingerprints. Within the assigned Lines of Business, the Fingerprint Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of fingerprint operations, as well as, assuring strategic goals established by the business are accomplished. The Fingerprint Specialist will be well-versed in all matters concerning fingerprints. They will be able to provide guidance to customers and employees in all fingerprint matters.

 

General Duties

  • Creates and maintains files, make copies and answer phone calls/messages and address them appropriately.
  • Interacts with fingerprint customers to process fingerprints and maintains transaction rate with minimum fingerprint errors.
  • Collects payments from fingerprint clients and properly record transactions in each application.
  • Responds to all telephone and email fingerprint request within a timely manner.
  • Schedules mobile fingerprints with the appropriate numbers of technicians assigned to mobile fingerprints.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department.
  • Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
  • Gathers, analyzes and interprets external and internal data and write reports.
  • Creates spreadsheets for various statistical data reports and forward to the appropriate personnel.
  • Fax, photocopy, create spreadsheets, manage databases, compose emails, and handle files (electronic and paper), composing bulletins and all other related task.
  • Reviews and summarizes the content of incoming correspondences and materials, with close attention to detail and addressing inconsistencies with the appropriate AGB departments.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects maintains a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. test certificate required.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in relation to area of assignment OR an equivalent combination of education, training and professional work experience pursuant to acquiring the knowledge, skills and capabilities indicated herein preferred.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • United States citizenship.
  • 18 years of age at the time of application submission.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Ability to work cooperatively with administrative, supervisory, technical and professional personnel in the coordination or delivery of services as provided by the agency.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of specialized administrative procedures and regulations particular to area of assignments.
  • Ability to create properly formatted documents.
  • Ability to provide relevant feedback and information necessary for improving efficiency.
  • Knowledge of good office management principles; knowledge of good supervisory and training techniques.
  • Demonstrates good attention to detail.
  • Ability to audit and edit the daily/weekly reports and forms.
  • Must maintain strict professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information and explain or discuss office policy and procedures with others in person or by telephone.
  • Skill and proficiency in the operation of standard office equipment including the use of a keyboard as applied to the operation of computer systems as may be required based on area of assignment.
  • Must be able to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
  • Must follow all AGB policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively understand and communicate in English (verbally and in writing).
  • Highly accountable, reliable, and prompt, with a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
