Job Description

Manages replenishment of medical supply inventories and stock locations. Controls specialized and high dollar implants and supplies. Aligns and prioritizes daily duties and assigned projects with organizational objectives. Leads root cause analysis discussions in resolving inventory management issues and concerns. Implements process improvements, standardization and training of supply chain processes and inventory systems. Maintains key documentation and records. Executes product safety alert notices and recalls. . Manages stock inventories through supply/demand analysis and strategic replenishment.. Participates in product introduction and conversion projects. Coordinates cross-functional review of excess/no move inventories. Other related duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for inventory replenishment and inventory investment objectives (Inventory Turns/Excess/ROPs/ROQs) 
  • Manages consignment inventory programs, new product introductions, conversions and recalls 
  • Researches capital equipment requests and generates budgetary quotes, determine sourcing for quote reviews and general medical supply requests 
  • Liaison between OR and Cath Lab vendors and clinical staff in management of consignment, bill only requisitions, bulk buys and daily strategic replenishment. 
  • Tracks, monitors, communicates and executes supply planning for all backorders, manufacturing shortages, discontinued product and substitutes. 
  • Performs related duties as required.

Required:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 1-year experience in a relative inventory management or supply chain function is required. 

 

Preferred:

  • Education: Some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in medical supply chain operations is preferred. 
  • Certification: Certification in supply chain professional society preferred; such as APICS.
