- Follows standards of care as outlined by Vail Health and Colorado Nurse Practice Act.
- Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and hospital administration.
- Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office.
- Competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care, patient satisfaction, and safety are maintained as documented by supervising physician's review.
- Provides patient education relating to current medical issues and to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Displays and promotes professional, courteous, and collaborative interaction with patients/families, providers, staff, other Vail Health departments, and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork.
- Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
- Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
- Demonstrates competency in triage, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
- Two years of experience as a nurse practitioner in related area preferred.
