The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for training both new and experienced associates across a variety of positions throughout the facility. This role identifies training needs, conducts standard work audits, supports the creation and updating of standard work, maintains training records, assists with onboarding, and serves as a substitute in most positions throughout the facility, including Team Leader roles, as needed. This position is on 2nd shift, 2:30-11:00 pm and will report to the outbound supervisor on 2nd shift. Flexibility in shift may is required regularly to meet operations demand
Key Responsibilities
Deliver training to new and experienced associates across a variety of roles within the facility.
Identify training needs and skill gaps to support workforce capability and performance.
Conduct standard work audits to ensure procedures are understood, followed, and consistently applied.
Develop, update, and maintain standard work documentation and training records.
Support onboarding and development of newly hired associates.
Apply Lean Methodologies and Operational Excellence Principles to identify improvement opportunities and enhance consistency.
Share best practices across teams and production lines to support operational excellence.
Provide operational support by serving as a substitute in most warehouse roles, including Team Leader positions, as needed.
Promote a culture aligned with company values, leadership principles, safety expectations, and continuous improvement.
Serve as a steward to others and keep Operational Excellence at the heart of all work.
Qualifications
Broad knowledge and demonstrated proficiency across multiple positions within the facility.
Proven ability to train, coach, and communicate effectively with associates at varying experience levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Oracle, and other relevant business systems.
Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and positively influence others.
Working knowledge of Lean Methodologies and Operational Excellence Principles.
Ability to develop and maintain standard work documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
Flexibility to support varying shift schedules based on facility training needs.
Demonstrated commitment to stewardship, teamwork, and a culture of Operational Excellence.
