Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join its well-established program at its Baptist Health Orthopedic Care (BHOC), which has been awarded four High Performing Hospitals ratings from U.S. News & World Report (2025-2026) for orthopedics, knee replacement, hip replacement and hip fracture. BHOC brings together board-certified fellowship-trained physicians in nine orthopedic subspecialties delivering comprehensive care and has performed more than 12,000 surgeries annually. Engaged in 15 sports medicine partnerships, BHOC provides care for athletes from the Miami HEAT, Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, InterMiami CF, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, Orange Bowl, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami Open Tennis and Miami Marathon & Half Marathon.

Full-Time Opportunity (Job ID: FY26-MIA-ORT-03-02)

 

Responsibilities include managing hand and wrist fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis of the hand and wrist, and performing complex reconstructive procedures

Qualifications:


Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing

Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)

Additional ACGME-accredited fellowship training in surgery of the hand is required
