Vermilion provides specialized mental health and addiction treatment services for adolescents and adults in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Your Impact as Chief Nursing Officer
As a key member of the hospital's executive leadership team, you will provide strategic oversight for all nursing services while fostering a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all nursing operations and clinical service delivery
- Develop and execute nursing strategies that support organizational goals
- Mentor, coach, and develop nursing leaders and frontline teams
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee staffing plans, workforce development, and labor management
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Monitor operational and clinical performance metrics
- Support survey readiness and accreditation activities
- Participate in executive decision-making and long-range strategic planning

- Active RN License (LA or eligible for reciprocity).
- Proven Nursing Leadership (CNO, DON, or equivalent).
- Behavioral Health Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting (required).
- Strategic & Operational Expertise with strong interpersonal skills.
- BSN required; MSN or mental health nursing preferred.
- Experience:
- 6+ years RN experience (10+ preferred).
- 3+ years progressive nursing management.
- 2+ years behavioral health RN experience in inpatient psychiatry.
