About the Role
Packsize is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AP Associate to join our cohesive accounting team. In this role, you will play a key part in the day‑to‑day AP operations, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies. You’ll act as a resource for the AP team, help resolve complex issues, support month‑end close and audits, and collaborate across departments to keep processes running smoothly.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of AP best practices, a focus on accuracy and timeliness, and a willingness to take ownership of your work. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager.
What You’ll Do
Process and review invoices, credit memos, and payments with high degree of accuracy
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Independently review purchase orders and use logical reasoning to identify and resolve any issues
Prepare and post journal entries related to Accounts Payable activity, accruals, and reclassification
Support month-end close activities ensuring all AP and Travel and Expense related entries are properly recorded and supported
Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor requests
Take ownership and demonstrate strong intuition by anticipating and resolving issues before they affect operations; provide updates to leadership as needed to ensure alignment
Train and provide guidance to AP team members, and deliver companywide training on AP best practices and proper processes
Participate in special projects as needed
Job duties may vary depending on accounting team needs
What You’ll Bring
Strong knowledge of AP processes and controls
Excellent communication, and analytical skills
High attention to detail paired with a sense of urgency and ownership
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
5+ years of experience in AP
Experience in process improvement or automation projects is a plus
Experience with Navan, Basware, SAP preferred
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Reside in or near Salt Lake City, Utah, with the ability to work in the office four days per week
Ability to work in an office environment; sitting for extended periods and moving about the office
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
Repetitive movements

What we Offer
The hourly pay range for this role is $58,986-$70,800 USD. Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
