Job Summary
The Senior Security Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of the organization’s operations. This position is responsible for overseeing physical security systems, managing emergency response and Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Physical Security Oversight
- Design, deploy, and manage physical security systems across all office locations
- Ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and internal protocols
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Legal, and local office managers to ensure comprehensive security coverage
- Manage relationships with external security vendors
- CCTV & Access Control Administration
- Serve as system administrator for CCTV and access control platforms
- Maintain user access levels and monitor system performance
- Conduct regular audits of access logs and camera coverage
- Oversee badge management and access control systems
- System Monitoring & Incident Response
- Recommend and implement real-time security dashboards and alert systems
- Investigate and resolve security alerts promptly
- Maintain incident reporting protocols and escalate concerns as needed
- New Office Security Installations
- Lead planning, testing, deployment, and implementation of security infrastructure in new office locations in partnership with IT and legal
- Ensure installations meet firmwide standards and are completed on time and within budget
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Training & Compliance Management
- Develop and maintain safety and security training programs for facilities teams and office staff
- Standardize training content and maintain records of completion and compliance
- Monitor regional adherence to physical security procedures
- Health & Safety Collaboration
- Integrate security systems into emergency response and safety plans
- Partner with HR and department heads on evacuation protocols and incident response drills
- Support CPR and active shooter training initiative
- Emergency Response & Business Continuity
- Coordinate emergency response planning, testing, and drills
- Manage inspections of emergency equipment (e.g. fire extinguishers, AEDs)
- Serve as a resource during emergencies and liaise with local emergency response teams
- Assist in design and implementation of enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery plans for scenarios such as:
- Severe weather
- Infrastructure damage
- Cyber or physical attacks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Facilities Management, or a related field, preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate security operations, emergency response, or facilities management
- Hands-on experience with access control, security systems, and CCTV systems across multiple locations
- Experience in testing and drills for emergency response and business continuity plans
- Strong understanding of physical security, risk mitigation and compliance
- Experience in vendor management
- Working knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high pressure situations and fast-paced environments
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- In-depth knowledge of security principles and technologies
- Proficiency in managing security systems and databases
