Expectations at Angel:
- Amplify light in every action.

- When faced with challenges, maintain the ability to use perseverance, consistently and courageously find creative solutions, and break down barriers to handle the challenge of complication. Focus is on creating building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame.
Essential Functions:
- Review licensed films and accurately identify content requiring removal or adjustment per Angel's content standards, including explicit language, graphic violence, sexual content, and other flagged material.
- Perform precise timeline edits, including cuts and audio adjustments, to bring films into compliance without disrupting the viewing experience for the audience.
- Export finished files per required delivery specifications and upload completed titles to the Angel Guild platform.
- Maintain organized project files and clear documentation for each title moving through the workflow.
- Collaborate with the Media Operations and content standards teams to resolve edge cases or content decisions that fall outside standard guidelines.
- Flag any technical or content issues that require escalation before a title can be delivered.
- Stay current with Angel's content standards as guidelines evolve.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Competencies:
- An exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions independently.
- Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Demonstrate an ability to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Can take feedback to solve assigned projects positively and create better solutions.
- A quick study, able to learn new skills and learn how to use new programs.
- Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change quickly.
- Extensive knowledge of media, production, and entertainment industry.
Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands - May require sitting/standing for extended periods and carrying equipment up to 20 lbs.
Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.
Travel required - Regular out of state travel is not anticipated
Required Education and Experience:
- Proficiency in a professional NLE, with Davinci Resolve strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years experience as a video editor.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with content compliance or standards-and-practices editing.
- Familiarity with the Angel Guild platform or similar content distribution systems.
- Knowledge of common deliverable specs including codec, frame rate, and resolution requirements.
