Partnership Development Representative (Vancouver)
Job Description
Alternative Payments is building the financial operating system for SMBs, consolidating the disconnected tech stack that holds service-based businesses back. Starting with MSPs, we've spent five years perfecting accounts receivable, and we're now expanding into accounts payable, AI-powered analytics, and beyond. We're at an inflection point: closing the loop on money movement and laying the foundation for a platform that will reshape how service businesses operate financially.
We're growing fast, thinking big, and building a global team that wants to be part of something that lasts. We believe the best solutions come from diverse perspectives, deep collaboration, and a shared obsession with customer impact. If you're energized by real problems, real customers, and real impact, we want to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For
We're seeking a Partnership Development Representative (PDR) to join our Partnerships team and aggressively expand our Enterprise Resource Planning Partner (ERP) Program across North America.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships from scratch, loves the thrill of the hunt, and wants to take full ownership of a high-impact, greenfield partnership motion — from cold outreach to active referral-generating relationships. You won't be inheriting a warm book of business. You'll be building one.
This role is available to candidates eligible to work in Canada in Toronto or Vancouver. Regular travel is required for this position.
What You’ll Do
Own the ERP Partner motion end-to-end — from cold outreach to ERP implementers through onboarding, activation, and ongoing relationship management.
Develop deep familiarity with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, and Sage ecosystems and the implementor community within each.
Run structured activation sequences with new partners from first outreach through active referral generation.
Represent Alternative Payments at key ERP industry conferences and events, including Directions North America and Community Summit.
Collaborate with internal Sales and Marketing teams to maximize the impact of ERP partnerships on new business.
Propose improvements and help establish a repeatable ERP partnership motion that can scale across new ecosystems.
Mentor and support team members, sharing knowledge and fostering growth.
What You’ll Bring
2+ years of experience in SaaS sales and/or partnerships.
Proven track record in outbound sales motions — cold outreach, pipeline generation, and building relationships from zero.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the EQ to develop complex, trust-based partnerships over time.
A proactive, highly organized mindset with the ability to operate independently and solve problems without a playbook.
Nice to Haves
Familiarity with ERP ecosystems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, or Sage — existing relationships with ERP implementers are a strong plus.
Experience in FinTech, payments, startups, or similarly fast-moving environments.
Entrepreneurial background or evidence of building something from scratch.
Comfort representing a company at industry conferences and events.
Track record of mentoring, leading projects, or driving organizational improvements.
Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic, and high-impact environments.
What We Offer
Competitive salary tailored to your experience, skills, and expertise.
The total compensation range (OTE) for this role is $80,000 - $100,000CAD, plus equity. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the approximate total target compensation for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including relevant skills, experience, education/training.
Equity opportunities so you can share in our growth and success.
Unlimited PTO and flexibility when you need it the most.
Yearly learning & development stipend to help you grow and do your best work.
