Specialist II - 2nd and 3rd Shift

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Specialist II on 2nd and 3rd Shift Production for the Grand Rapids, MI facility.

 

 

Job Summary & Schedule

 

Candidate must be able to read a tape measure, be reliable, and pass a drug screen and background check.
Work schedule is Sunday thru Thursday, 11:00pm to 7:30am.

 

Responsibilities

• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Direct production personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Must be able to work independently and collaborate with others to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met, and report issues to supervisor.
• Operate and set up departmental equipment.
• Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP).
• Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
• Report department metrics.
• Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards. 

Specialist II Experience (Desired)

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Machine operation or basic troubleshooting.
• Experience working in multiple areas.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.

Specialist II, Skills & Abilities

• Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems

Education, Licenses & Certifications 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

 Total Compensation

• Hourly Base Pay: $20-22/hr DOE; $1.00/hr shift differential
