Job Description
Audubon is currently seeking a Licensed Crane Operator (Lattice Boom) to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Licensed Crane Operator (Lattice Boom) performs lifting, moving, and placing extremely heavy loads of material and equipment in certain areas scope.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manipulates crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
- Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Inspect crane for defensive parts and notifies supervisors of malfunctions.
- Assists in assembly and disassembly of cranes.
- 3-dimensional webs of metal with triangular patterns known as lattices.
- May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- Safely operate crane, hoist mechanism, tools and materials.
- Plans and coordinates crane movement and set up.
- Observe load hook up and determines safety of load.
- Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
- Calculate load capacities, working radii, boom angles, and boom lengths

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Related trade school education is preferred.
- Five years' experience in the construction industry.
- Five years' experience as a crane operator.
- Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
- Construction safety practices.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
