Job Description
Audubon is currently seeking a Journeyman III - (Non-Licensed) to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Journeyman III install, maintain, and repair electrical systems within the scope for the job for the industrial settings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify all tools required for tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
- Assist in the cutting, bending and running of the conduit as specified on blueprints.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of cable tray as necessary according to specifications.
- Assist in pulling the cable through specified pathways.
- Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical equipment.
- Assist in terminating wires and cables to electrical equipment such as but not limited to breakers, control panels, and distribution systems.
- Assist in the testing of electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
- Assist in the inspection of electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and to ensure the equipment is in good operational condition.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of temporary power systems.
- Assist in the installation of and maintenance of the grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

- Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
- Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Related trade school education is preferred.
- Five years' experience in the construction industry.
- Five years' experience as a journeyman electrician.
- Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
- Construction safety practices.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
