Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Liebherr Crane Mechanic to join our Audubon team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of mechanical experience, with a strong preference for hands-on experience working with Liebherr LR and LTM cranes. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Liebherr cranes and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs
- Help coordinate with operations and supervisors to schedule maintenance and repairs
- Respond to field service calls as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanic experience (heavy equipment or crane experience required)
- Direct experience working with Liebherr LR and LTM cranes preferred
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
- Proficient in reading technical manuals and schematics
- Valid driver’s license with good MVR
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Certifications
- OEM training or certification on Liebherr equipment
- NCCCO or other crane-related certifications (a plus)
Work Environment
- Field-based work and very little shop work
- Will require travel to job sites
- Exposure to noise, grease, and heavy machinery
