SAP Project Manager (SAP Optimization & Performance)

• Location: Poznan, Poland
• Relocation or commuting 2 days weekly will be necessary

You will join a critical SAP database optimization and enhancement program for a major retail client. 
The initiative focuses on improving SAP performance, optimizing data volumes, and reducing the impact of data retention on business operations, working closely with internal teams and external SAP experts.

What You Will Do

• Take ownership of an ongoing SAP optimization project and stabilize delivery.
• Coordinate closely with technical SAP teams, business stakeholders, and the SAP Architect in Poland.
• Translate complex SAP technical topics into clear business impacts and decisions.
• Lead discussions around data retention policies and performance vs. accessibility trade‑offs.
• Identify skill gaps within the team and define the need for additional roles or expertise.
• Ensure project alignment with daily business operations, minimizing disruption.
• Drive efficiency, structure, and process improvements within the SAP delivery team.

Must / Blockers:

• Proven experience managing complex SAP enhancement or optimization projects.
• Experience in challenging SAP environments (e.g. high number of Z‑transactions).
• Strong hands‑on project management approach; able to step into an ongoing project immediately.
• Solid experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical teams and business users.
• Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast‑changing, high‑pressure environments.
• Fluent Polish Proficiency
• Fluent English Proficiency

Nice to have:

• Experience in SAP database optimization / data volume management.
• Background in high‑volume data environments.
• SAP Retail experience.
• Exposure to SAP modules such as FI/CO, SuccessFactors, EWM, RE‑FX.
