Reserve LE Deputy Sheriff (Non-Paid)

The Reserve Deputy Sheriff performs law enforcement duties to protect lives, property and rights of citizens of Travis County by patrolling assigned districts to enforce local, state and federal laws. Provides for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, conducting preliminary investigative work and serving warrants.  This is a non-paid position. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Duties require substantial degree of initiative and independent judgment necessary to take control of dynamic situations. This classification requires a flexible work schedule in order to meet the needs of the department.
