The Geon Performance Solutions Continuous Improvement Leader is a full-time dedicated position responsible for leading complex, high value projects in Geon’s Manufacturing function. This leader is responsible for delivering business value through effectively managing projects and project teams. They will establish, coordinate, and provide leadership for Lean Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events and Problem-Solving exercises. They will also be responsible for training and developing Six Sigma Green Belts and Kaizen leaders within the organization. The projects that are established will be integrated within the Geon’s Operational Lean Six Sigma efforts and meet the guidelines, criteria and metrics established by the company’s executives, Performance Management Office (PMO) and the Geon Master Black Belt. The position will require 15% travel. This position will be located at our Terre Haute, Indiana facility.
Job Requirements
- Lead Process Improvement projects that deliver measurable and sustainable business results
- Builds commitment from the Geon operational teams for business process management and improvement through a focus on effective process development, integrated project/change management and implementation.
- Analyzes and identify process improvement opportunities working closely with key stakeholders to scope and ensure alignment with Geon strategic priorities.
- Serves as a technical leader in the deployment of Process Excellence through the application of process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, and basic problem solving).
- Trains, coaches, and mentors all employees in Lean methodology
- Works with stakeholders to ensure projects achieve intended results, where risks are proactively identified and mitigated and benefits are validated.
- Provides expertise and share best practices regarding Process Improvement tools, methodologies, and team leadership.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a technical field of study such as engineering.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 or more year’s professional business experience with strong process improvement and project management work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong, proven experience with leadership, business acumen, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills in financial services or other highly regulated industry.
- Expert-level ability to influence and affect change at all levels of the organization.
- Solid track record in leading and managing teams, to deliver results.
- Black Belt certified through an accredited institution or internal program as part of a large organization.
- Ability to use raw data to make statistical trend analysis to present to the leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 15% or more to support projects. International travel may be required.
