Job Description

The Project Manager for Special Projects is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and tracking citywide efforts to reduce inequities in life expectancy and improve health outcomes across Boston neighborhoods. Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Project Manager drives team-wide coherence through tracking key project outcomes and coordinating daily operations and logistics to ensure strategic goals are met. 

While the Project Manager will support multiple cross-cutting initiatives, the person in this role will be a key member of our team advancing the Live Long and Well Agenda. The Live Long and Well Agenda (LLW) is a citywide health equity initiative that aims to improve life expectancy and reduce racial and ethnic health disparities in Boston. The ideal candidate is a skilled project leader who excels in collaboration, strategic thinking, and operational execution. They will ensure that LLW strategies move from planning to action.  

DUTIES 

  • Support in the development, tracking, and implementation of project workplans, timelines, and performance measures to meet project goals and deliverables. 
  • Work with data teams to track indicators related to life expectancy, social determinants of health, and program impact. 
  • Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with internal teams, community-based organizations, healthcare system partners, and governmental agencies to advance cross-sector public health improvement efforts.  
  • Coordinate planning and execution of stakeholder engagements, meetings, events, and hybrid activities and facilitate inclusive dialogue and participation.  
  • Produce and disseminate clear, accessible communication materials, including memos, presentations, reports, flyers and other forms of communication to reflect project priorities, activities, and outcomes.  
  • Work to help BPHC become an antiracist organization by meeting or exceeding the standards set by the BPHC Anti-Racism Policy.  
  • Coordinate and support with drafting, reviewing, and submitting grant proposals.  
  • Help strengthen the project’s structure and practices to promote racial and health equity and ensure decision-making processes center community voice.  
  • Perform other related duties asassigned.
