JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This HR role is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and activities of the HR Department - providing administrative support on Sysco’s Recruitment/Leaves portfolios; as well as aids in successfully implementing local initiatives and executing regional and corporate programs.  

    

The individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Execution of transactional core HR processes (i.e. Recruitment administration, coordination of new employee orientation, administer NIB documentation, leave administration, filing, etc.) 
  • Support Hiring Managers and HR Generalists in staffing plans
  • Supports HRBP to drive an inclusive and diverse culture 
  • Administer programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction levels 
  • Provides technical, customer relations, and general support for major initiatives and projects 
  • Support, maintain and track compliance programs 
  • Create and/or distribute communications (memos, emails, letters, presentations, spreadsheets, surveys, etc.)
  • Track data and/or consolidate responses as requested and follow-up with others as needed to obtain information and identify insights
  • Provides administrative support for meetings, (video) conference calls, etc.   

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Very strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks - with numerous interruptions 
  • Extremely confidential in nature
  • Basic knowledge of local employment law 
  • Ability to make group presentations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • College Degree in Human Resources or relevant HR Certification(s) (e.g. HRCI/SHRM based)
  • 2-3 years’ Human Resources Recruitment and Employee Relations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
