Are you looking to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative setting where your career can flourish? If so, Copart has an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a detail oriented and highly motivated Business Licensing Specialist who excels in organization, attention to detail, and multitasking.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of supporting and securing essential License and Permit certificates and documents. You will help to ensure compliance and applicable regulatory requirements, play a key role in obtaining and maintaining accurate records, monitor filings and deadlines and serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders, various outside local/state agencies and our Corporate Licensing Department.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist our Corporate Licensing Department in gathering and processing applications and renewal forms for essential business licenses and permits, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Authenticate documents and liaise with relevant agencies to gather any missing information.
  • Track licensing expiration dates and ensure timely renewals.
  • Collaborate closely with peers and executive personnel to secure necessary documents and signatures efficiently.
  • Support the team by maintaining accurate records, updating database systems, and compiling necessary information.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding licensing status and requirements.
  • Conduct audits of licensing files to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Prepare insightful summary reports for upper management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Proactively research and resolve any licensing issues that arise, ensuring compliance.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to drive business and compliance goals, contributing to the organization's overall success.

Skills and Experience:

  • Exemplary accuracy and keen attention to detail in managing data entry and maintaining precise accounting records for license applications and renewals.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members and external partners.
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player, excelling in a collaborative environment while skillfully handling various tasks.

Required Experience:

  • 2 + Years of administrative, licensing, compliance, or related experience
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a 2-year Degree in business
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with licensing management software or compliance tracking systems.
