Job Description
APC-I is the clinical professional responsible for all aspects of the Organ Procurement Process at a hospital within OneLegacy’s DSA and at a OL Recovery Center. The clinical element requires direct medical donor care, with an emphasis on assessment, resuscitation, physiologic management, organ allocation, documentation, packaging and labeling of organs for transplant or research at the time of recovery. APC-I directs the medical treatment regimen to meet the assessed needs of the donor in accordance with established medical practices, the donor requirements, policies & procedures, practices and goals of OL. The APC-I is the clinical resource in the donation process, providing guidance/directions as well as mentoring less experienced clinical staff.
