Job Description
Job Overview:
Responsible for the effective utilization of people, equipment and other resources to effectively ship products to clients, ensuring that maximum results are achieved, while minimizing scrap, rework, downtime and excess costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a portion of the budget that contributes to day-to-day activities, and is responsible for ensuring this budget is maintained and all spend is monitored
Provide workplace orientation training for permanent and/or temporary workers (includes, but is not limited to basic health & safety awareness and workspace specific training, GMP’s, etc.)
Pick orders for delivery, verifying that proper product and quantities are chosen
Efficiently move product from storage areas onto trucks, ensuring that shipments are accurate and free of damage
Participate in physical inventories and maintain appropriate records to ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste
Demonstrate our Leadership competencies by creating a positive work environment and culture through administration of our People Processes and Tools.
Recipe for Success:
Completion of high school diploma, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Supervisory role
Experience with WMS and RF Scanning
Forklift Operator Certification
Effective stress management skills, with the ability to work without direct supervision
Excellent knowledge of health & safety requirements
Experience with WMS and RF Scanning (Navision is an asset)
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions:
Frequent lifting of heavy objects
Frequent use of ladders, and other light tools
Regular requirement for bending, twisting, or maintaining uncomfortable body positions while performing work
Occasional exposure to loud noises
Frequent exposure to heavy equipment/machine operation or traffic
