Job Objective:

Eisenhower is seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst to lead the support, optimization, and integration of our Workday and UKG platforms, partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT to enhance workforce technology and business processes. Helps drive advancement of Workday functionality, including emerging automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve efficiency, analytics, and employee experience.

Supports core functions of Eisenhower's applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. Implements, administers, and supports assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team. Has a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations. Independently addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. Provides project management and selection guidance for new applications. Provides analytical assistance to junior team members to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, and enhancement requests. Coordinates application support with other information technology teams including Sys Admins, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the help desk. Implements changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures. Provides solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments. Works with and mentors junior staff members to document workflows. Serves as Project Manager for major projects.

Experience:

Required: Five (5) years in healthcare related positions; previous system analyst or vendor experience; experience using healthcare applications; experience working in an acute healthcare setting or vendor setting; proven experience in project managing major projects

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.

2. Maintains sound independent judgment and reasoning; analyzes problems or procedures and selects the appropriate course of action to keep systems available and functioning.

3. Acts as liaison/team lead between assigned departments and IS technical personnel. Communicates with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitate communications between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Utilizes professional discretion when working with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and develop solutions.

4. Works collaboratively with vendors and users to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Independently facilitates communications between IS personnel and vendor representatives.

5. Identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care, productivity, financial outcomes, physician or ancillary relations for cost savings, by working independently with users and departments to assess current systems and processes.

6. Independently coordinates and manages all upgrades and maintenance of assigned systems in a timely fashion for assigned departments. Provides technical assistance and support to expert users.

7. Participates on committees and in meetings where issues affecting departments and/or patient care are discussed.

8. Identifies and assists with planning for and developing departmental-specific requirements for future product acquisitions.

9. Follows PMO guidelines on all projects, utilizes PMO tools provided to manage and communicate project tasks and issues. Trains and assists others in utilizing PMO tools and methodologies. Assures that all necessary documentation (e.g., procedure/processes) are properly completed and posted for the help desk and in the knowledge base.

10. Updates all open service requests on a weekly basis and communicates updates to the requestor on a weekly basis.

11. Effectively communicates with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitate communication between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Works with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and develop solutions.

12. Accurately and promptly analyzes user-requested programming changes, documents requests, and facilitates communication between users and IS Systems Analyst staff per change control policy.

13. Works with vendors to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Takes lead on communications between IS Systems Analyst personnel and vendor representatives. Ensures that all necessary documentation (i.e., procedures, processes) is complete.

14. Utilizes excellent time and project management skills as well as organizational and personal skills to work with a variety of people.

15. Performs written and oral project status reporting on a regular basis as assigned.

16. Works as lead team member and independently with minimal supervision.

17. Ensures that e-mail and voice mail indicates when unavailable with alternative contact when out of office.

18. Assumes administrative tasks to support management as assigned.

19. Performs other duties as assigned.
