Job Description
The operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of all paper handling equipment. The operator will be loading rolls of paper onto the back stands. The operator will perform changeovers by unloading one type of paper and replacing with another type.
Operator will perform other tasks related to running a production line such as starting/stopping line, clearing paper jams, performing quality checks, threading paper, setting machine parameters for optimal run, and regulating process aids such as silicone and steam. The operator will perform minor adjustment to troubleshoot quality defects. Operator will assist in paper waste recycling, tying scrap bales, and changing bales wires. May be asked to fill in as packer/palletizer or material handler occasionally.
