As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer Design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How you’ll make an impact
Designing of oil filled Power Transformers up to 400 kV range (LPT, LMPT) (Power, GSU and Arc Furnace, reactor, dry type & Rectifier Transformers).
Preparation of Tender, especially for the repair/retrofit/upgradation projects & further detail engineering.
Preparations of cost estimates.
Preparation of ordering specifications for accessories, spare parts and components,
Conducting design review meetings with cross functional teams & customers for technical issues.
Basic understanding of schematics and mechanical design.
Basic understanding in Transformer inspection, testing and failure analysis (Root Cause Analysis).
Understanding in core & active part and tank drawings.
Good coordination with TRES team and external customers for smooth execution of projects.
Site Visit, as & when required.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
8-12 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
