Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery - SPP

This individual is a clinically competent, registered Physician Assistant who has demonstrated expertise in management of cardiothoracic patients. He/She effectively delivers care to the cardiothoracic patient throughout the continuum of care. The candidate's principal duties and responsibilities are to include but not limited to the following: Performing preoperative assessments, History and Physicals, education on counseling of patients as well as personal representatives regarding the patient's disease and health issues in an office or inpatient setting. The candidate will reach tentative diagnosis and order appropriate lab tests. The candidate will perform surgical procedures in the OR under direct supervision of the surgeon, perform radial artery as well as saphenous vein harvesting.
