Job Description
$3000 Sign on Bonus. Get Paid On Time. Every Time. Running open-board Canada/U.S. long-haul, this position requires you to be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time, averaging 12,000 miles per month, available for dispatch 24 days a month. Resets on the road as required.
- Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states
- Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
- Required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
- Required to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
- Regional freight will be required
- Flexible schedule requiring weekend departures
- Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
Candidate Profile:
- Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor-trailer experience
- Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system
- Must be U.S. qualified
- Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience
- Must have a minimum of 6 months Highway 17 experience
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must have a valid Class 1/AZ License
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more, Driver assist is required on occasion
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
