Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building trust, delivering exceptional service, and growing long-term partnerships? Do you have experience working with veterinary clinics or the animal health industry and want a role where your work has real purpose?
We're seeking an Aftercare Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you'll serve as the trusted advisor for our veterinary and pet care partners, helping them provide compassionate aftercare services while identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships and grow business within your territory.
This is a highly visible, field-based position that combines account management, customer success, and consultative sales. You'll spend approximately 80% of your time nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships and 20% developing new business opportunities alongside our Business Development team.
What You'll Do
Strengthen Customer Relationships
- Manage and grow an assigned book of business through proactive account management.
- Build trusted, long-term partnerships with veterinary clinics and industry professionals.
- Conduct regular customer visits, strategic account reviews, and service consultations.
- Ensure customer concerns and service issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
Drive Business Growth
- Meet or exceed customer retention, account growth, and sales activity goals.
- Identify upsell opportunities and introduce customers to additional products and services.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to position our company as the preferred aftercare provider.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers to onboard new customers and ensure seamless transitions.
- Develop territory-specific sales and marketing plans to achieve annual revenue objectives.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner with Operations teams to create service strategies that enhance the customer experience.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage customer interactions, opportunities, and reporting.
- Participate in ongoing sales training and professional development.
- Maintain accurate reporting and account documentation.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the veterinary industry or a strong understanding of veterinary clinics and operations.
- Minimum of three (3) years of account management, customer success, or consultative sales experience preferred.
- Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow customer relationships.
- Post-secondary education in veterinary sciences, business, sales, marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Experience working toward sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle.

Working Environment
- Primarily field-based role with approximately 90% travel throughout the assigned territory
- Frequent customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and business meetings
- Regular use of a computer, phone, and CRM systems
- Ability to drive extensively throughout the workday
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Some evening or weekend work may be required for conferences, events, or business needs
