Onsite Maintenance Technician - Part Time (Lake Hinsdale Village)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing general maintenance of buildings and grounds at Lake Hinsdale Village, under daily supervision of the full-time Maintenance Technician.

 

 

Duties include: 

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance.
• General maintenance, janitorial and grounds work throughout the property.
• Watering of trees, planters, and special beds.
• Fire alarm/alert assistance.
• Pool maintenance support.
• Periodic inspections of grounds, common area buildings, and structures.
• Advising supervisor of needed repairs, improvements and safety issues.
• Understanding of carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, cleaning, gutters, locks, plumbing, and painting.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

 

Work Schedule:

• May-Sept: Flexible schedule weekdays 8 am – 4 pm; Mandatory 4 hours on Saturday.
• Oct-April: Flexible schedule weekdays and Saturdays 8 am – 4 pm.
• 20-25 hours/week (Regular).
• Regular and on-call availability not to exceed 30 hrs/week.

 

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of maintenance experience required.
• Experience with carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, plumbing, painting, and/or safety systems required.
• Must have reliable transportation. 
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must be a proficient problem-solver. 
• Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment or the public in general. 
• Experience and skills with simple electric maintenance is a plus, but not necessary.
• Pool maintenance experience is a plus, but not necessary. 

Pay: 

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
