Overview
Job Summary:
Works with a Scrub Technician in the Operating room scrubbing surgical cases. Also assists in Central Sterile processing instrumentation for surgical procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists with preparing operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens under the supervision of a Scrub technician.
Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.
Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degrees: High School Diploma or GED & Actively enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
