Manage board and committee annual workplans and agendas, coordinate and schedule all board and committee meetings (including director travel and expenses).
Assist with the set up and running of each board and committee meeting and assist with minute taking.
Support the General Counsel in a variety of legal department tasks such as contract management, invoice tracking, corporate filings and other general legal administrative duties as assigned.
Support the CPAB leadership team in board material preparation, and support the Board chairs in preparing for meetings, and other board-related matters.
Learn and deepen your governance practice by attending all CPAB board meetings.
What you bring to the role?
The following skills will help you start and succeed in this role but not all are necessary if you’re willing to learn and grow:
Experience supporting a board of directors and legal and corporate executives.
Experience working with a General Counsel or Corporate Secretary is a strong asset.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are a must.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance competing demands while maintaining your professionalism are a must.
Well-versed in all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Experience in supporting multi-site operations and sound knowledge of Diligent Boards or equivalent software would be a strong asset.
Bilingual in English and French an asset.
Sounds like the right opportunity?
If your skills match our requirements and you want to contribute to CPAB, we want to hear from you.
We invest in our people. We encourage team members to develop their careers by marrying their interests with the continuous improvement of our organization and the profession.
