Job Description

The Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Manager will be accountable for the implementation, effectiveness and oversight of integrated management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and company policies to promote a safe, sustainable, and high-performing workplace. This also includes leading and embedding sustainability initiatives across our operations and drives environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, ensuring alignment with corporate values, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

The role is also responsible for ensuring the data and document control (DCC) functions effectively and efficiently. This includes ensuring DCC continue to support various functions in the organization in managing data, document and change control processes, permits, etc. for compliance against ITAR, Export Control, policies, standards and other management systems. 

This role will be hired initially as a 2-year fixed term contract.

Description

  • Lead QA & EHS Professionals to implement, standardise and maintain management systems
  • Define and manage audit & compliance programs and schedules
  • Ensure governance frameworks are established, implemented and effective
  • Identify, drive and manage Continual Improvement and Operational Excellence programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive understanding of ISO 9001 (and others), ASDEFCON and WHS regulations
  • Proven experience managing Quality Management Systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • People leadership experience
  • This is an on-site role, ideally based at Homebush (flexibility to be discussed)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance – must be an Australian Citizen!

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance to work in this role – please be mindful to obtain a clearance, one of the main requirements is you must be an Australian Citizen.
