Casual Residential Centre Officer
Balund-a Program, Wybra

 

 

Location – Balund-a Program, Mookima Wybra via Tabulam
 

Employment Type  Casual positions (x 4) available with possibility of progressing to ongoing
 

Salary – $42.69 - $43.98 – Casual Grade 3

 

Hours – 12-hour shift work-day shift and night shift.

 

 

About the Role
 

As part of these roles, the team at Balund-a are looking for enthusiastic, motivated people to step into Residential Centre Officer roles and contribute to a high standard of case management, resident engagement, and involvement in the program in line with the legislation related to the operations of the centre.


 

What you will do/Experience required
 

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing support to Residents. The duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
 

  • Implementing policies and procedures that have been developed to encourage the development of the program, which include reducing reoffending and community reintegration.
  • Implementing all aspects of case management for residents, including the development of effective communication with residents, supporting residents to identify and reach their case management goals and completing sound and comprehensive case notes.
  • Supervising and ensuring that the welfare of residents is always appropriately addressed, including reporting and follow through on any incidents.
  • Reporting to the Residential Program Supervisor regarding daily scheduling and the organisation of duties, to ensure you are aware of any special arrangements regarding residents, or of any resident behaviours which warrant observation / follow-through.
  • Implementing tasks regarding the day-to-day functioning of the Centre in accordance with the operational needs of the centre.
  • Supporting programs by assisting the multidisciplinary team as required, completing training and co-facilitating identified skills programs, and supervising participants access in the community.


 

Qualifications Required:
 

  • First aid certificate
  • Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role, preferably LR licence.
  • Preferred-Cert IV in community services or equivalent experience.
