Examples of Duties:
- Manges the facility including maintenance and scheduling events and employees.
- Schedules maintenance and the use of the facility.
- Schedules all recreation programs and activities of the facility.
- Works with appropriate Recreation Department representative to purchase equipment and services from outside vendors.
- Establishes and maintains contact with service and equipment vendors.
- Cooperates with recreation and non-recreation personnel.
- Develops and maintains relations with the neighborhoods and other recreation providers in community.
- Develops and promotes recreation programs, including music, dance, arts and crafts, cultural arts, nature study, swimming, social recreation and games, or camping.
- Adapts recreation programs to meet needs of the department and the community.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) and 2 years related experience which must be in a management position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- CPR certification.
- First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP).
Other Necessary Requirements:
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
