Job Description

The Listening Project is a bridge-building project, housed in the Center for Careers, Life, and Service (CLS), that provides a space where community members of different backgrounds can come together to listen to and learn from each other through facilitated dialogue opportunities. Over the past three years, the Listening Project has run over 20 dialogues with over 500 participants. We are looking for students to join our facilitation team, which is made up of both student and community member facilitators. Student facilitators will get full training. In addition to receiving training, the facilitators help plan and facilitate dialogues (generally once or twice a month), both on campus and in the community. This is a valuable opportunity for students who want to develop their dialogue skills, while also getting more involved in the community.

Student facilitators can expect to work up to 5-8 hours per week.

Duties:

  • Planning and facilitating dialogue events on campus and in the community, which happen at least once a month
  • Attending weekly facilitation training
  • Helping with outreach for dialogue events

Applications for this position are due by August 31
