Job Description
This position is for a group tutor for the Fall 2026 section of ADS 195: Intro to African Diaspora Studies. Applicants must have previously passed ADS-195 or a related course to apply.
Duties:
The student is responsible for providing general academic tutoring services to a small group on specific subject matter or area of specialty. Student works under limited supervision, exercises a moderate level of independent judgment and initiative, and demonstrates strong understanding in the subject area. They are able to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.
Provides tutoring for one or more of the following:
Specific courses in the SS and HUM divisions
General study and learning strategies
Metacognitive skills
General administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
Participating in initial and ongoing training
Communicating with instructors about course content
Maintaining cleanliness of study lounge or classroom spaces
