Host/ess
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Host/ess. In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming guests into the restaurant, assigning them tables, and working with the front of house team to ensure tables are cleaned and accurately flipped in the system.
As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll prompt recognition and providing a warm and friendly greeting with a smile and responsive service is essential to create a beyond expectation dining experience for all guests
$14/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, in a friendly manner; escorting them to the assigned dining area. Rotate tables when seating guests throughout the shift
- Answer questions about food, beverage, restaurant functions, services, and resort services and activities
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food, beverage, and service. Respond promptly and courteously to their needs and requests.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by Host/Hostess station assignment .
What We’re Looking For
- Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred but not required and/or background in the service industry is a plus
- A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
