POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee and assist with the onboarding, training, and development of associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and tools to perform their duties effectively. Key responsibilities include supervising the training of new employees, monitoring the performance of existing staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, and conducting annual reviews. Additionally, you will regularly monitor your team’s progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure all work is completed safely and within established timelines. By doing so, you will help ensure that projects run smoothly and that customers receive the best possible shopping experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work week is Monday - Friday
  • Provide direction and guidance to Set Team
  • Communicate and collaborate with Kroger Set Team to ensure timely and efficient completion of project work
  • Provide direction and guidance to associates
  • Oversee and assist with training of new employees and monitoring performance of incumbent employees
  • Review & Execute Mapping & layouts of projects
  • Schedule shelf strip and tag events for Remodels and other projects
  • Perform Surge/Set Team Member audits
  • Maintain Division Merchandising Execution supply inventory at Ruler Warehouse 2 and distribute as needed
  • Act as Account Manager backup as needed

  • Perform annual reviews
  • Administer progressive discipline when necessary to address performance or behavior issues, ensuring that all actions are fair, consistent, and in accordance with the company policies, in collaboration with management
  • Consistently communicate progress to supervisor
  • Attend trainings and webinars assigned to stay up to date on best practices regarding leadership skills, compliance, policy changes, cross training and safety
  • Conduct safety audits
  • Provide customer assistance
  • Operate Ruler equipment in a “safety first” manner
  • Must remain qualified as an insurable driver
  • During periods of reduced regular scheduled hours due to circumstances including, but not limited to, holidays or unforeseen urgent customer support needs, employees may be responsible for additional store support outside of their normal essential job functions
  • Up to 75% overnight travel may be required

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Communicate (read, write and speak) fluent English
  • Read, understand and implement plan-o-grams
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Computer/internet access and knowledge of email and web based applications
  • Adapt to advancing technology and computer solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Qualify as an insurable driver with excellent driving record
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
  • A smartphone with internet/data access is required.  This position may require installation and utilization of an app on your smartphone to complete the requirements of the position.  This may include, but is not limited to, requiring app permissions such as enabling location services, camera, and photo gallery access
  • Must be able to provide personal tape measure and safety gloves to perform essential job functions

MINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES: 

  • Must be able to:
    • operate motor vehicle unassisted
    • remain standing and/or walking unassisted for several hours at a time
    • frequently climb stairs, ladders and step stools
    • lift, carry, push or pull 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
    • continuously reach up, extend, reach in all directions and have unlimited upper body mobility
    • frequently bend, stoop, twist, squat and kneel
    • lift and extend 30 lbs. above the head, sometimes repeatedly
    • frequently grasping, squeezing and unlimited manual dexterity
    • tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
