At Advidi, we build technology that powers millions of daily transactions for clients around the world. Our engineering challenges are broad and meaningful: high-availability tracking systems, large-scale data platforms, custom client portals, automation tooling, and internal systems that support every part of the business.

With our new tracking platform now being delivered, our focus is shifting toward building a stronger product-first innovation mentality across engineering. This transformation is not only about adopting new tools, but about rethinking productivity, automation, product development, decision-making, and technical execution across the company.

As our Head of Engineering...

You will lead an engineering organization of approximately 10–12 people across two development teams and play a key role in shaping the next phase of engineering at Advidi.

You will be responsible for engineering delivery, team performance, technical quality, stakeholder alignment, AI adoption, and the continued development of our engineering culture. Working closely with the CTO, product, commercial teams, operations, and other stakeholders, you will help ensure engineering remains a proactive contributor to Advidi's future direction.

You will act as a bridge between technology, product, and the broader business. You will help translate business opportunities into technical direction, challenge ideas constructively, identify product and platform opportunities, and make sure engineering remains closely connected to business priorities.

We believe in technical managers. This is not a pure people-management role. You do not need to be the deepest hands-on engineer in the team, but you should be technically strong enough to contribute meaningfully to architecture and design discussions, challenge technical decisions, and help teams make pragmatic trade-offs. You should be comfortable going deep when the situation requires it.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an engineering organization of approximately 10–12 people across two development teams.

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop engineers.

  • Own engineering delivery, technical quality, team health, and engineering culture.

  • Work with the CTO on engineering strategy, technical priorities, team structure, and platform direction.

  • Partner closely with product, commercial teams, operations, and other stakeholders to connect engineering work to business and product priorities.

  • Translate business and product opportunities into clear technical direction and execution plans.

  • Represent engineering in cross-functional discussions and act as an ambassador for technology and AI adoption.

  • Help drive Advidi’s AI transformation through AI-assisted development workflows, automation opportunities, internal tooling, operational improvements, and AI-enabled product development.

  • Participate in architecture and design discussions, helping teams make strong technical trade-offs.

  • Improve the reliability, scalability, maintainability, and observability of our product portfolio.

  • Help teams balance product innovation, delivery speed, technical debt, and long-term platform health.

Required skills:

We are looking for someone with...

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior engineering management role, Head of Engineering role, or similar role.

  • Experience managing an engineering group of 10 people or more.

  • Experience being accountable for engineering delivery, people development, technical quality, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Strong technical judgment and the ability to participate in architecture, design, and technical planning discussions.

  • Solid hands-on software engineering experience, preferably with Python, Kotlin, or similar technologies.

  • Experience with cloud computing.

  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • A proven track record of delivering complex software projects or product platforms.

  • A strong AI adoption mindset: you actively explore how AI can improve engineering, product development, automation, and business processes.

It is a plus if you have...

  • Experience managing engineering across multiple product areas, platforms, or business-critical systems.

  • Experience working closely with product, commercial, operations, or other business teams.

  • Experience with AWS.

  • Experience helping an engineering organization adopt AI tools or AI-assisted workflows.

  • Experience with SQL, data-intensive systems, cloud-native architecture, or Infrastructure as Code.
