Job Description

The Team Manager provides leadership and employee relations support in accordance with organizational policies and practices. This role assists in strategic planning and helps establish organization, unit, and site goals. The Team Manager is a safety-focused leader who maintains a consistent presence on the plant floor, drives manufacturing execution, and actively supports operational and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide employee relations support in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Uphold a strong safety culture and execute assigned Environmental, Safety, Sustainability, and Health (ESSH) responsibilities.
  • Maintain a consistent and visible presence on the plant floor; this role requires hands-on engagement with operations and employees and is not office-based.
  • Direct daily activities of assigned workgroups, including resolving problems, answering questions, assigning work, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Perform staffing and resource planning by scheduling resources, monitoring daily processes, and redeploying resources as needed to meet operational requirements.
  • Develop employees through coaching, counseling, and performance feedback; assign work aligned to development goals.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support employee training activities, including hands-on learning and cross-functional skill development.
  • Gain and maintain a working knowledge of all manufacturing equipment through hands-on operation to effectively support troubleshooting, training, and process improvements.
  • Take a lead role in plant manufacturing projects, including process improvements, equipment initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support production goals, quality, safety, and efficiency objectives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by participating in meetings, calls, and project work outside of normal business hours, as needed to support operational priorities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in management and/or production
      OR
    • High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 9 years of experience in management and/or production
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in management and/or production.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a manufacturing or plant-based environment.
  • Experience driving safety, operational, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
