Job Description
The Test Engineer is responsible for driving improvements, optimizations, and development of test stations and equipment, both in software and hardware, to ensure optimal performance and product quality. This role supports operations through the development of local suppliers, test program creation, and the implementation of validation and release processes for test systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and qualify local suppliers for the procurement of components, spare parts, instrumentation, and fabrication of fixtures and test stations
Design, develop, and maintain test programs and code for new and existing test systems
Improve preventive and corrective maintenance processes for test equipment
Manage, track, and follow up on departmental requisitions
Generate and maintain documentation for new test equipment
Execute validation and qualification processes for test stations
Integrate test results and development data into official test platforms and reporting systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development for electrical test stations
Strong knowledge of programming languages and test instrumentation for manufacturing of PCB-based products and electronic assemblies
Conversational English proficiency
Technical Skills
Communication protocols: RS232, RS485, GPIB, USB, Ethernet
Embedded systems and module programming
Programming experience with ICT platforms (HP3070), C/C++, C#, Visual Basic, LabVIEW, and TestStand
Advanced troubleshooting and failure analysis of test systems
Experience with Functional, Hipot, Burn-in, and Final Testing
Database knowledge
Software integration and control of measurement and test instruments
Ability to interpret and develop test specifications based on design requirements
Knowledge of GR&R (Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility) for test equipment validation
