We're looking for a Senior Digital Designer to own the quality of our web presence end to end. You'll work alongside a marketing team and a small engineering team, with real autonomy to make confident design decisions. We need someone with a strong visual eye, marketing instinct, and enough UX knowledge to make our website work harder for a B2B audience. You'll be our sole digital designer setting the bar, building the component library, and making the calls. We're investing in our creative leadership, and a Creative Director is part of our growth plan, so there's a clear path to working within a stronger creative structure. For now, though, the decisions are yours and the business is ready to back them.
Requirements
Experience level of 3-5 years is low for someone working solo without creative direction above them, so that could impact short term ability until there is one, might need to be higher
Language – SaaS platforms, product interfaces, Agile, sprint cycles, discovery, will filter in product designers expecting a team structure and activities that don’t quite align with the requirements of this job
Not clear where this role sits - sole designer, marketing-led, three engineers, no creative director
IA is referenced but the reality is navigation and content hierarchy for a brochure site, not a complex taxonomy problem
Design system scope is a well-organised component library for one website, not a platform-scale governance challenge – more detail rather than just Design system
Nothing speaks to marketing fluency, campaign thinking, or conversion-focused web work which is the day-to-day
Success metrics are fairly generic; those could be dialed in and more specific
The responsibilities read as a blend of digital design and product design and the shape, depth and focus of those roles vary greatly
Responsibilities
Own the visual quality and consistency of our website, ensuring it reflects a credible, premium B2B standard
Audit the current site - reviewing analytics, navigation, content hierarchy, and conversion paths, and deliver a prioritized set of recommendations
Design and build a modular component library in Figma that engineering can implement and maintain reliably
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs are built to spec and quality is maintained through to the live site
Partner with the marketing team to translate campaign and content briefs into well-designed web pages and digital assets
Evolve the website over time through a considered roadmap of improvements, informed by data and business priorities
Ensure the site meets accessibility standards and performs consistently across devices
A B2B executive land on the site and it feels immediately credible and considered
Designs are being built to spec without the designer needing to chase every implementation detail
Early audit wins are live and measurable improvement in conversion or drop-off is visible in the data
Marketing can brief in work and get it back at a quality level they couldn't achieve before
When the Creative director joins there is a visual foundation and working system to build on, not rebuild from scratch
Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports.
