Job Overview
The Paver Installer Crew Lead leads and organizes work crew to install and maintain building materials such as pavers, brick, and structural tile to construct or repair driveways, walls, and other structures; smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete fountain molds, floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures; installing pumps, electrical and piping equipment for fountains by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepares, measures, and excavates site for construction or repair of pavers, bricks, tile and concrete for walkways, curbs, driveways, patios, fountains and other structures according to plans
Prepares ground base by compacting calculated depth or crushed stone or incorporating and tilling cement with soil, mechanically vibrating the aggregate base for compaction and assures base slopes according to plan.
Applies and screeds sand at selected height over compacted base according to plans.
Establishes starting square, lays pavers, bricks and tile and minimizes gaps with tapping according to plan.
Prepares, cuts and installs pavers, bricks and tile where needed.
Retrains edges of finished layout with selected materials.
Communicate effectively with management, clients, and team members
Enforce company safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE
Operate company vehicles, trailers, and equipment safely
Job Requirements
3+ years of paver installation and repair experience
Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
