The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities.   The River Edge Crisis Stabilization and Recovery Center is part of a growing behavioral health organization that provides superior behavioral healthcare for the people, communities, and hospitals they serve.   River Edge Behavioral Health is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We are a fast past Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) positioned for the next generation of behavioral healthcare and recovery.   Position Summary: The Director of Risk Management and Nursing is responsible for overseeing the organization’s risk management program while providing leadership and direction for nursing services. This position ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, promotes patient safety, reduces organizational risk exposure, and supports high-quality clinical care delivery. The Director will collaborate with leadership teams, clinical staff, and regulatory agencies to maintain safe and effective healthcare operations.   Location – 175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees or participates in policy, procedure, and processes development. Support nursing staff company wide. Serves on development teams, proposes drafts, and/or reviews current policies to recommend changes. Develops economic demographic, business, and sociological forecasts to support development of plans and strategies. Coordinates project activities and perform research, evaluation and analysis of operational issues. Participates in development of long-term plans, programs, and strategy. Directs the development of standards and procedures to be used in project development and implementation. Plans, develops, implements and maintains a system designed to coordinate and provide continuous and systematic evaluations for programs or initiatives.   Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or at least 5 years working in the behavioral health field as an RN. Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Georgia. Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership and/or risk management experience. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, quality improvement processes, and risk management principles. Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Experience conducting investigations, audits, and compliance reviews preferred.   Preferred Skills and Competencies Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
