Location: Malden - Commercial Street
Compensation: $36,527 / year
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as initial point-of-contact for customers and greets guests entering the department.
- Assist programs in the organization of contracts, budgets, and files.
- Assist with coordinating and conducting housing workshops, appointment scheduling, and following up with clients regarding needed documentation for department programs.
- Answer telephones, take messages, forward calls.
- Respond promptly to email inquiries for housing services.
- Prescreen calls, collect documents, and perform data entry for service referral and completion.
- Develop knowledge of the department’s data management and data reporting needs.
- Ensure the utilization of appropriate client data collection and reporting systems as new programs are developed.
- Develop forms necessary for intake, tracking, follow-up, and reporting.
- Maintain time logs, mail logs, and client registers.
- Maintain the record system for reports, requests, and personnel information.
- Type, circulate, and mail correspondence.
- Order and distribute office supplies, keeping track of office inventory.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new Housing staff
- Refer customers to ABCD Departments and other social service agencies for additional services, as needed.
- Assist in conducting outreach, scheduling information sessions, and providing general support to the program, as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and up to 12 months relevant experience required.
- Ability to be organized and process a high volume of client calls and emails.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to use technology to effectively perform job duties.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese preferred.
