Work Performed
Must have six (6) months machine shop experience or one (1) year in a manual
manufacturing environment. Certification from the TCAT Collision Repair Technology Program would also be acceptable.

Occupation Summary
This occupation requires the layout, fabricating, hand burring and finishing of sheet metal, extrude parts at bench or on the assembly line, set up and operate various types and sizes of routers to cut and mill extrusions, sheet metal, rolled section to size.
Work Performed
- The operations consist of planning the job, laying out and performing all operations on various size sheet metal and extruded parts. Finishes partially formed parts as well as lays out, marks and works places to be finished on machined parts.
- Set up router by selecting and installing proper cutting tools and/or pins, compensating for cutter and router block wear, adjusting table for depth of cut and aligning pin and cutter.
- Works to close tolerance, using such machine tools as drill press, arbor press, bench grinder, router, etc. Checks work in process as well as finished work. Metal tags parts as required.
- Assist in positioning and loading parts on machinery.
- Performs duties incidental to the accomplishment of the assigned task.
- Computer proficiency to navigate systems for labor charging, access work instructions, record completion of work, Paycor, MES, PII’s, etc.
- Each employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and housekeeping in his work area as directed as well as assuring the accuracy of their work.
