Typical duties include, but not limited to:
- Assists Teachers to ensure the safety and welfare of infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
- Ensures a clean, orderly, and healthy environment for the center including but not limited to washing dishes and doing laundry and cleaning the playground and classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Follow center policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols, to ensure compliance and minimize risks to children and staff.

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must complete 45 DCF training hours within 90 days of hire.
- Must complete 1-hour DCF Safe Sleep Practices for Child Care within 30 days
- Must complete 5-hour DCF Child care Personnel Orientation Course within 7 days or 1 hour Universal Precautions/Exposure Training with director.
- Must complete Infant/adult CPR and first Aid within 90 days.
- Must complete 5-minute Fire Extinguisher Training by the first day.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

- Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.
